Jaunt Agency LLC
terms and conditions
Last updated: January 2024
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the relationship between Jaunt Agency LLC (“Jaunt” and “we” and “us/our”) and you, the client and all persons on whose behalf a booking is made (“Client” and “traveler” and “you/your”). By planning travel with Jaunt, you and all guests traveling with you agree to be bound by these terms. These terms include warranties and disclaimers and exclusions of liability and may restrict your rights and remedies and provide protection to Jaunt. These Terms are subject to change at any time, without prior written notice.
The effective version of these Terms is located at jauntagency.com/terms.
agent for suppliers
Jaunt acts solely as a sales agent for disclosed principal supplier cruise lines, hotels, airlines, air charters, bus companies, ground transportation, boat purveyors or owners, and other independent contractors providing accommodations, transportation, and/or other services (“Suppliers”), and is not the source or provider of the travel services. Each of these supplier companies is an independent entity with its own management, and is not subject to the control of Jaunt. Client is advised that the suppliers whose names appear in travel documentation are those actually responsible for providing the travel services purchased, and consents to the use of those suppliers, and understands and agrees each supplier’s Terms and Conditions are contained in printed form and are set forth on their respective websites, which govern the transaction. All bookings are accepted by Jaunt as agent for the disclosed travel suppliers on your itinerary. The transportation, accommodations and other services provided by the identified sea, ground, and air operator suppliers offered are subject to the terms and conditions contained in the tickets, exchange orders or vouchers issued by them and/or their suppliers, including Terms and Conditions on their respective websites.
BECAUSE JAUNT ACTS AS AGENT FOR DISCLOSED PRINCIPAL SUPPLIERS, AND DOES NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO CONTROL THE OPERATIONS OF SUCH INDEPENDENT OPERATORS AND SUPPLIERS, YOU AGREE JAUNT IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, WHICH MAY ARISE OUT OF THESE SERVICES. JAUNT HEREBY DISCLAIMS ANY LIABILITY WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LIABILITY FOR ANY DIRECT, PUNITIVE, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL OR INDIRECT DAMAGES, IN CONNECTION WITH THE GOODS OR SERVICES PROVIDED BY ANY PRINCIPAL SUPPLIER BOOKING THROUGH JAUNT, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LIABILITY FOR ANY ACT, ERROR, OMISSION, INJURY, LOSS, ACCIDENT, DELAY OR IRREGULARITY WHICH MAY BE INCURRED THROUGH THE FAULT, NEGLIGENCE, WILLFUL ACTS, OMISSIONS OR OTHERWISE OF SUCH SUPPLIER, OR OF ANY SUPPLIER OR THEIR RESPECTIVE EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SERVANTS, OR REPRESENTATIVES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THEIR FAILURE TO DELIVER OR THEIR PARTIAL OR INADEQUATE DELIVERY OF SERVICES, FUEL INCREASES, AND OTHER MATTERS OUTSIDE OF JAUNT’S CONTROL, AND YOU HEREBY EXONERATE JAUNT FROM ANY LIABILITY WITH RESPECT TO THE SAME.
personal information
You consent to Jaunt and Supplier use of your personal information. You understand that, as part of booking any travel services, we will share personal information with our providers and suppliers who are essential to providing you with our services. Such information includes birth dates, passport numbers, travel dates, occupation, frequent flyer information, bank accounts, credit cards, and other information needed to secure travel arrangements. We will not share your payment information with any other third parties without your prior consent. Jaunt has no liability regarding the distribution of your information to any Supplier or any Supplier’s failure to protect your personal information.
You authorize Jaunt to keep your personal information for as long as needed to provide booking services and for a reasonable period thereafter for Jaunt’s legal or business purposes.
risks of travel
In General
Travel to certain destinations may involve greater risk than others. Jaunt assumes no responsibility for and shall not be liable for the acts or omissions on the part of any other party not under our control or any acts of God, unsafe conditions, terrorism, health hazards including pandemics, illness, weather hazards, or the suitability for a disabled person of any portion of any trip. We have no special knowledge of dangers during travel or at destinations. Jaunt urges Clients to remain informed daily as to current news, as well as to review travel prohibitions, warnings, announcements and advisories issued by the United States Government prior to booking travel to international destinations. It is your personal decision to travel, and you are doing so with full knowledge of current travel recommendations and travel restrictions with regards to the risks. Information on conditions in various countries and the level of risk associated with travel to particular international destinations can be found at http://www.state.gov, http://www.tsa.gov, http://www.dot.gov, http://www.faa.gov, http://www.cdc.gov, and http://www.cbp.gov. The Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) is a free service provided by the U.S. Government to U.S. citizens who are traveling to, or living in, a foreign country. STEP allows you to enter information about your upcoming trip abroad so that the Department of State can better assist you in an emergency. Registration is recommended and provided by going to https://step.state.gov/step/.
BY OFFERING FOR SALE TRAVEL TO PARTICULAR DESTINATIONS, JAUNT DOES NOT REPRESENT OR WARRANT THAT TRAVEL TO SUCH POINTS IS ADVISABLE OR WITHOUT RISK, AND SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR COSTS, DAMAGES, OR LOSSES THAT MAY RESULT FROM TRAVEL TO SUCH DESTINATIONS. CLIENT’S PARTICIPATION CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF SUCH EVENTS AT CLIENT’S OWN RISK.
COVID-19 Risks of Travel
For destination information specific to COVID-19, we recommend visiting IATA's COVID-tracking site in addition to the State Department site. It is your personal decision to travel, and you are doing so with full knowledge of current travel recommendations and travel restrictions with regard to the risks of COVID-19. Ultimately it is your responsibility to understand and abide by all requirements and restrictions when traveling. This may include the following: health affidavit forms; health screenings prior to departure and/or upon arrival; temperature screenings prior to departure and/or upon arrival; travel reason affidavit forms; online travel authorizations; airline safety & health requirements, such as health forms, screenings, face coverings; in-country requirements, such as periodic temperature checks, quarantine, face coverings; visas. Failure to meet the requirements and/or restrictions puts you at risk for fines, quarantine, or deportation at your expense.
travel documents, including TSA and DHS acceptable identification requirements
It is the responsibility of each Client to obtain and carry a valid passport book, visa(s), and all other documents required by applicable government regulations. Passport cards are not accepted for most international travel. When traveling domestically or internationally, the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) advise that everyone carry acceptable identification in order to board a flight. Acceptable identification can be found at http://www.tsa.gov/ and examples include DHS-designated enhanced driver’s license, US passport, or a foreign government passport.
Certain countries will not admit a passenger if their passport expires within six (6) months of the anticipated date of return. Non-United States citizens may require additional documentation, and you are responsible to make Jaunt aware when traveling on a passport from a country other than the United States of America. Jaunt neither controls nor warrants the issuance of visas or approval of visa waivers related to your travel. Should a visa not be issued, Jaunt is not responsible for lost payments made toward your trip. Please note that rules of each country regarding entry and exit may change at any time.
Children and infants may also require travel documents. Minors traveling with one parent, and/or without both parents, may be stopped and not admitted, unless authenticated and verified consent forms are provided to the authorities; please see https://help.cbp.gov for additional information. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency requires that for groups of children under age 19 arriving to the United States by land or sea from contiguous territory and traveling with a school group, religious group, social or cultural organization, or sports team, may also present an original or copy of his or her birth certificate, a Consular Report of Birth Abroad, or a Naturalization Certificate. Parental or legal guardian consent must be provided to the supervising adult or group leader in writing.
The name, date of birth and gender that appears on the identification card must exactly match the same such data that is listed on your tickets and booking records. You acknowledge that it is your responsibility to ensure that the information on your tickets and confirmations is accurate. Any discrepancy between your reservation and your travel documentation may result in denied boarding or an undue delay at an airport security checkpoint causing you to miss your flight, and any subsequent scheduled travel bookings on cruises and tours.
WHEN YOU RECEIVE YOUR TRAVEL DOCUMENTS, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO REVIEW AND VERIFY ALL INFORMATION FOR ACCURACY. CONTACT JAUNT IMMEDIATELY IF CHANGES OR CORRECTIONS ARE REQUIRED. IF YOU HAVE NOT NOTIFIED US OF NECESSARY CORRECTIONS TO YOUR RESERVATION WITHIN TWENTY-FOUR (24) HOURS OF RECEIVING YOUR TRAVEL DOCUMENTS, JAUNT BEARS NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY ADDITIONAL COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH MAKING NECESSARY CORRECTIONS.
individual entry and exit requirements
Each foreign country holds different views of past criminal offenses, whether within or outside of their boundaries. If you have a current or past offense, and you are unsure how the country you are traveling to (or through) views that offense, please contact that country directly for entry and exit requirements. (See: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/international-travel/International-Travel-Country-Information-Pages.html). Jaunt neither controls nor warrants the issuance of visas related to applicable travel. It is Client’s responsibility to verify that all the visas required for your trip have been obtained, that the visas for each country are valid for the entry and exit dates of your visit, that your personal details are accurately reflected and that your passport is valid for at least six months beyond the completion date of your trip. Please note that even when a visa is issued, a traveler may be denied entry since each country’s local immigration officials make the final entry decision. Several factors including past criminal record may contribute to the decision of the local immigration official(s). Should a visa not be issued, Jaunt is not responsible for lost payments made toward the contemplated trip. We feel it is an invasion of privacy for any member of our staff to make such an inquiry. For example, if traveling to or through Canada, Americans with a Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) record should always check whether current rules exclude admission, and potential waivers. (See: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/inadmissibility/overcome-criminal-convictions.html).
immunization & health screenings
Each Client is responsible to make absolutely certain to have the proper immunizations and required documentation of such immunizations before travel, and to make the necessary accommodation for security rules imposed by government authorities. Jaunt shall not assume responsibility for the accuracy of health requirements or vaccination and/or documentation prior to departure or upon landing at the final destination. See your health practitioner for advice. Prior to travel, required inoculations, if any, must be recorded by Client’s health practitioner on a valid vaccination certificate, which the Client must carry for proof of inoculation where required. If you are concerned about taking any medications or receiving certain inoculations, check with your health practitioner BEFORE booking. Check the USA State Department Website http://travel.state.gov, for relevant information relating to travel to specific destinations, and the USA Centers for Disease Control http://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/ relating to health issues. For further information relating to security, safety issues, crime, the need for travel documentation (such as passports, visas, proof of health/vaccination certificates), health hazards, and other restrictions regarding travel to your domestic and/or international destination(s), and re-entry into the United States visit http://www.tsa.gov, http://www.dot.gov, http://www.faa.gov.us, http://www.ustreas.gov, http://www.cbp.gov on a regular basis for information regarding incidence of disease, terrorism, safety issues, crime, the need for travel documentation (such as passports, visas, proof of health/vaccination certificates), health hazards, and other restrictions regarding travel to your domestic and/or international destination(s), and re-entry into the United States especially your embassy and http://www.uscis.gov/ for non-USA citizens. (Client is responsible to make Jaunt aware when traveling on a passport from a country other than the USA.)
important information for domestic air travelers
The Federal Real ID Act mandates stricter security standards for state-issued driver’s licenses and other forms of identification and prohibits Federal agencies from accepting for official purposes identification that does not meet these standards. Beginning on May 7, 2025, every air traveler will need to present Real ID-compliant identification to be permitted to board a domestic flight; therefore, those holding a non-compliant driver’s license will need to present an acceptable alternate form of identification, such as a valid U.S. passport. To avoid disruption to their travel plans, air travelers are strongly encouraged to consult with the Department of Homeland Security (www.dhs.gov/real-id) to determine whether their state-issued identification is Real ID-compliant and, if not, what alternate forms of identification will be accepted at the airport.
hazardous materials
USA federal law prohibits passengers from bringing hazardous materials on the aircraft.
(1) USA federal law forbids the carriage of hazardous materials aboard aircraft in the passenger’s luggage or on the passenger’s person. A violation can result in five years’ imprisonment and penalties of $250,000 or more (49 U.S.C. 5124). Hazardous materials include explosives, compressed gases, flammable liquids and solids, oxidizers, poisons, corrosives and radio- active materials. Examples: Paints, lighter fluid, fireworks, tear gases, oxygen bottles, and radio-pharmaceuticals.
(2) There are special exceptions for small quantities (up to 70 ounces total) of medicinal and toilet articles carried in the passenger’s luggage and certain smoking materials carried on the passenger’s person. For further information, each passenger should contact the relevant air line representative(s) on their itinerary. Restrictions on hazardous materials are listed http://www.tsa.gov/traveler-information/prohibited-items and http://www.faa.gov/about/initiatives/hazmat_safety/.
insecticide notice
All passengers are referred to always check the list of countries that require airlines to treat the passenger cabin with insecticides prior to the flight or while on the aircraft on the DOT’s website, as this list is updated from time to time: http://www.dot.gov/office-policy/aviation-policy/aircraft-disinsection-requirements.
non-refundable planning fee
A NON-REFUNDABLE Planning Fee is charged by Jaunt for services rendered. The amount of the Planning Fee is based on the complexity of the travel, including but not limited to destination, length of stay, dates of travel, level of daily travel planning, and whether or not Jaunt receives compensation from our suppliers. The non-refundable Planning Fee is separate from your trip cost. Your trip cost is paid directly to the supplier. Clients acknowledge that this Planning Fee is non-refundable, regardless of whether travel plans proceed.
quotes & pricing
When a quote is provided to you, the pricing is accurate as of the time the quote was completed. Pricing and availability quoted by Jaunt are not guaranteed until booking is made AND required deposit is fully paid. Pricing and availability may change without notice. Client agrees that Jaunt is not responsible for any errors or omissions in any quotes, advertisements, including on our website, resulting in inventory, content, or pricing discrepancies nor is Jaunt responsible for any errors or omissions that may occur because of incorrect information from third parties or suppliers. Suppliers reserve the right not to honor any published prices that it determines were erroneous due to electronic, printing, or clerical error. You acknowledge the previously stated right of the Supplier and agree to hold Jaunt harmless for any actions or damages arising from supplier pricing. Jaunt reserves the right to charge Client for any increase in taxes, fees or surcharges (i.e. fuel). Client acknowledges this right and agrees to pay any such additional taxes, fees, and surcharges.
currency fluctuations
Currency exchange rates fluctuate. Quotes in foreign currency are subject to fluctuations in exchange rates and International credit card issuer fees.
standard deposit policy
An initial deposit of 30% will be required once all services in your custom itinerary have been confirmed. A confirmation/invoice will be sent to you by email and will include a link to our secure payment portal for you to enter your payment details and submit payment. Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE, unless stated otherwise in the Terms & Conditions of the Supplier.
standard final payment policy
Final payment for all services is due 45 days prior to the date of your first service. An invoice requesting final payment will be sent by email approximately one week prior to your final payment date and will also include a link to our payment portal.
Reservations are held with tour operator/supplier/vendor until the final payment due date. If payment is not received by Jaunt on or before the due date, reservations are automatically canceled and prices are subject to change. Failure to remit final payments on or before the final payment date will automatically put your booking at risk of cancellation and respective cancellation fees/penalties. Please contact Jaunt immediately, and in advance of the final payment due date, if you will be unable to meet this obligation. Without limitation, Client voluntarily holds Jaunt harmless for cancellation of any booking for either late payment or declination of a credit card.
form of payment
We only accept credit cards as a method of payment and will require a credit card authorization to be completed, signed and submitted to us. By completing a credit card authorization, you are authorizing Jaunt to charge your credit card for the amount stated on the invoice.
For supplier payments, Jaunt only accepts credit card as a method of payment. We will require a credit card authorization to be completed, signed and submitted to us. By completing a credit card authorization, you are authorizing Jaunt to submit your credit card information to the applicable suppliers (such as cruises, airlines, hotel accommodations, ground transportation, meals, tours, etc.) for the travel services booked. Credit card authorizations protect both us and the credit card holder. Jaunt will not accept any payments without a signed credit card authorization.
As such you agree not to make any improper chargebacks. In certain cases, you have the ability to dispute charges with credit card companies (“chargebacks”). Before initiating a chargeback, we ask you first to call us to discuss any questions or concerns about our charges. We will work with you in attempting to resolve your concerns. By using our service to make a reservation, you accept and agree to our cancellation policy. Jaunt retains the right to dispute any chargeback that is improper and recover any costs, including attorney’s fees related to improper chargebacks. Additionally, in the event of an improper chargeback, we retain the right to cancel any travel reservation related to that improper chargeback. The following chargeback scenarios are improper and we retain the right to investigate and rebut any such chargeback claims:
Chargebacks resulting from non-cancellable reservations, whether or not the reservation is used.
Chargebacks resulting from charges authorized by family, friends, associates or other third parties with direct access to your credit card. This does not include credit card fraud.
Chargebacks arising from inconsistency or inaccuracy with regard to the supplier’s product description.
Chargebacks resulting from force majeure or other circumstances that are beyond the control of Jaunt or the Supplier.
Chargebacks resulting because you do not agree with the cancellation policy.
travel documentation
If travel documents are required, they will be provided 21 days prior to departure. Documents will not be released until full payment and all guest details have been received. Clients must completely review all travel, itinerary, and other documents related to a trip upon receipt of them, whether from Jaunt or a third party. Any errors, questions, or concerns should be communicated to Jaunt immediately.
last minute bookings
New travel requests initiated within 8 weeks of travel require additional time and care, and may incur a Rush Planning Fee in addition to any usual Planning Fees. Jaunt will inform travelers of this fee before moving forward with a quote. Clients traveling within the next 8 weeks may be asked to submit copies of their passport before Jaunt moves forward with a quote.
revision policy
Once confirmed and invoiced, any changes to existing services must be requested in writing and sent to Jaunt by email. Any change made to a reservation will incur a non-refundable $50 per revision per person Revision Fee in addition to any increase in trip cost and supplier-imposed change penalties. These fees apply to changes of dates, names, or services when requested 30 or more days in advance of scheduled arrival. The Revision Fee must be paid prior to initiating the revision. Revision(s) will be confirmed via email when it is processed. Revisions are based on availability, subject to supplier approval and are not guaranteed. Revisions made after final payment has been paid may also be subject to Cancellation Policies.
cancellation policy
Should a cancellation become necessary, please inform Jaunt immediately in writing by email and include the reservation number(s) associated with your travel. We charge a standard cancellation charge as follows:
More than 45 days: 20% of total Services
31-45 days: 60% of total Services
14-30 days: 80% of total Services
Within 14 days: 100% of total Services
In addition to our standard cancellation charge, all suppliers have their own change and cancellation policies, which apply to your booking. Upon receipt of your cancellation request, Jaunt will follow industry procedures for any cancellations as outlined in the supplier’s terms and subject to their review. If you are entitled to a refund, please note that the supplier is responsible for this refund, not Jaunt. Jaunt is not responsible for a supplier’s failure to pay a refund.
Please note, that certain Supplier’s terms contain a 100% cancellation penalty after booking, in such case, there will be no refund for that portion of the travel.
cancellation by supplier
We will inform you as soon as reasonably possible if a Supplier needs to make a significant change to your confirmed booking or to cancel. We will also liaise between you and the Supplier in relation to any alternative arrangements offered by the Supplier, but we will have no further liability to you. If the Supplier is unable to offer agreeable alternative services, we will work to obtain and secure an alternate supplier for your travel. We are not responsible for a supplier’s failure to pay a refund or for supplier bankruptcy or insolvency or inability to perform.
unused arrangements
As Jaunt's prices are oftentimes based on contract rates, there will not be any refund for any unused portion of a travel booking. Some group tours are based on minimum numbers of passengers traveling; if the number of passengers falls below the minimum required, a surcharge may be imposed or the tour canceled. If you cancel while your trip is in progress, there is no refund for the unused portion. Clients are responsible for notifying Jaunt of any changes to travel plans to minimize potential losses.
no shows
Failure to travel or show up for any reservation or booking is considered a “no show.” No show penalties will equal amounts up to the entire cost of travel, subject to terms and conditions of Jaunt and Supplier policies. Clients should notify Jaunt of any changes in plans to avoid unnecessary costs.
refund policy
All deposits and payments made to or through Jaunt are non-refundable. Jaunt is required to pay all suppliers well in advance of your trip date. Because Jaunt strictly adheres to cancellation and refund policies, Travel Protection is strongly encouraged. If Travel Protection has been declined, there are no refunds for changes or cancellations and Jaunt will have no further liability to you. If Travel Protection has been purchased, refunds are subject to the insurance policy.

1. That you are aware of and understand all cancellation charges and change fees related to your travel arrangements.
2. That you understand that you may not be entitled to a refund should your travel plans change.
3. That in the case of cancellation, you agree to pay all applicable penalties imposed by the applicable travel supplier(s).
4. That you accept ALL risks of loss associated with your decision to “not” purchase insurance.
traveler conduct
Each Client in any trip escorted by Jaunt is expected to act responsibly and adhere to all behavior guidelines established by Jaunt and our Suppliers. Jaunt and all local Suppliers reserve the right to remove you from any facility, hotel or resort property, tour location or means of transportation if your health or your conduct appears to endanger yourself or others, disrupts the general well-being of other clients on any element of your trip, or interferes with the operation or security of the places we visit. In any such case, there will be no refund.
When you book with Jaunt, you accept responsibility for any damage or loss caused by you. Full payment for any such damage or loss (reasonably estimated if not precisely known) must be paid directly at the time to the accommodation owner or manager or other Supplier. You must indemnify Jaunt for the full amount of any claim (also including legal costs) made against us. We are not responsible for any costs incurred concerning a guest removed from a trip, or any portion of a trip. You agree not to hold Jaunt or any of its related entities liable for any actions taken under these terms and conditions. Baggage and personal effects are at all times the sole responsibility of the participant.
Any transportation, possession or use of illegal drugs will result in immediate termination of your trip and may result in prosecution by law enforcement authorities. You are responsible for knowing and observing the licensing laws for drug possession (including prescription and over the counter drugs) for all countries and states you are visiting. Laws may require you to carry a prescription from your doctor.
force majeure
Jaunt and/or its suppliers shall not be responsible for failure to perform any of its obligations under this Agreement during any period in which such performance is prevented or delayed due to Force Majeure, nor for changes to or terminations of your trip due to Force Majeure. “Force Majeure” refers to any event beyond Jaunt’s reasonable control, including but not limited to severe or adverse weather, fire, flood, mudslides, earthquakes, war, labor disputes, strikes, riots, epidemics, World Health Organization’s advisories and/or alerts, disease, pandemic, virus, illness, Center for Disease Control’s advisories and/or alerts, U.S. State Department’s advisories and/or alerts, any order of any local, provincial or federal government authority, interruption of power services, terrorism or any other causes beyond the control of Jaunt.
Very rarely, you may be forced by “force majeure” to change or terminate your trip after departure but before the scheduled end of your trip. This is unlikely but if this situation does occur, we regret we will be unable to make any refunds (unless we obtain any refunds from our supplier partners), pay you any compensation, or meet any costs or expenses you incur as a result. Jaunt reserves the right to cancel any services described in a trip itinerary due to Force Majeure.
BY WORKING WITH US, YOU ARE ACCEPTING ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF TRAVEL FOR BOTH JAUNT AND THE TRAVEL SUPPLIER.
We strongly recommend purchasing travel protection and insurance.
